OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Accounting Clerk to join our finance team.The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial software, and data entry, with experience in various accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization that values accuracy, compliance, and professional growth within the accounting field.Duties Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.Reconcile accounts on the balance sheet and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors.Prepare journal entries for various financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and corporate accounting standards.Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including ledger maintenance and account reconciliation.Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations where applicable.Maintain organized documentation for audits and internal review processes.Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, financial reporting, and other accounting functions as needed.Requirements Proven experience in corporate or governmental accounting environments; public accounting experience is a plus.Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.Proficiency with accounting software.Knowledge of GAAP standards.Familiarity with payroll management systems and tax experience is advantageous.Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing).Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and account reconciliation efficiently.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively.Technical accounting skills combined with a solid understanding of financial services industry practices are preferred.This position offers an engaging environment for professionals eager to apply their accounting expertise while supporting organizational financial health through meticulous recordkeeping and compliance adherence.Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
