Position Summary The Accounting Supervisor supports the Children’s Services Fund’s mission to enhance the mental health and well-being of children, youth, and families by ensuring the efficiency of CSF day-to-day financial operations. Working under the leadership of the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Supervisor will support the organization’s financial operations, ensure accountability in reimbursing funded partners, and enhance CSF’s equitable and transparent contracting practices. Additionally, the Accounting Supervisor will provide oversight and guidance to the Accounts Payable Specialist, maintain strong internal controls, and utilize financial technology systems such as NetSuite and FLUXX to promote efficient and accurate financial management and reporting. Key Responsibilities Contract Management Monitor spending across funded partner contracts and track available balances to ensure adherence to approved contract budgets. Review reimbursement requests and supporting documentation submitted by funded partners to ensure compliance with project budgets and funding requirements. Accounts Payable Oversight Oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations within NetSuite accounting software. Provide supervision and support to the Accounts Payable Specialist, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and payments. Maintain and improve AP workflows, documentation standards, and internal controls. Audit Support Conduct partner reimbursement audits to ensure compliance with contract terms and project budgets. Assist with external and internal audits by preparing workpapers, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Internal Controls & Process Improvement Participate in developing and improving finance-related policies, procedures, and system workflows. Identify opportunities to streamline processes through improved use of financial systems and technology. Technology & Systems Utilize NetSuite (accounting system) and FLUXX (grant management system) to manage financial and contract-related data. Demonstrate strong technical proficiency by optimizing financial systems and proactively adopting new tools to enhance reporting, workflows, and overall financial management process. Collaborate with finance and program staff to ensure accurate financial tracking across systems. Financial Reporting & Accounting Maintain and manage the organization’s fixed asset database. Perform account reconciliations and support financial reporting processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in nonprofit accounting, grant management, or fund accounting. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience, including performance evaluation and feedback. Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit financial reporting, and audit practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office as well as accounting and grantmaking software, with a preference for Netsuite and Fluxx. Attributes: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities, ability to solve practical problems and manage situations with limited standardization, and ability to build good working relationships with peer
