Description Job Title: ACTT Substance Use Professional Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina (Community-Based) Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $50,000 - $57,000 Date Posted: 01-12-2026 About The Role We’re hiring an ACTT Substance Use Professional to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team in North Carolina. In this role, you’ll provide recovery-focused services to adults with co-occurring severe mental illness and substance use disorders. You’ll deliver individualized interventions that promote wellness, independence, and community integration while helping individuals reduce harmful behaviors and develop healthier coping skills. This position plays a key role in coordinating care, providing consultation, and supporting the treatment team’s approach to integrated behavioral health. Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect services for adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver recovery-oriented interventions to support sobriety and community living Offer individual and group counseling focused on harm reduction and relapse prevention Participate in treatment planning, case management, and service coordination Provide consultation to ACTT staff on substance use issues Maintain documentation, progress notes, and compliance with state and agency standards Travel within the community to meet clients (approximately 75% of the time) Required Qualifications Must hold or be eligible for CCS, LCAS, LCAS-A, or CSAC certification in North Carolina Master’s degree in a Human Services field with at least one (1) year of full-time, post-graduate MH/DD/SAS experience with the population served or Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field with at least two (2) years of full-time, post-bachelor’s degree MH/DD/SAS experience with the population served Preferred Qualifications Experience providing dual-diagnosis treatment or integrated behavioral health care Strong communication, counseling, and crisis intervention skills Compensation & Benefits Full-time Employees: Paid vacation days (increases with tenure) Separate sick leave that rolls over annually Up to 10 paid holidays* Medical, dental, and vision insurance options DailyPay – access your earnings without waiting for payday* Training, development, and continuing education opportunities All Employees: 401(k) retirement plan Free licensure supervision Pet insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Perks @ Clarvida – national discounts on shopping, travel, Verizon, and entertainment Mileage reimbursement Cell phone stipend (*Benefits may vary by state or county) Work Location Community-Based, North Carolina Employment Type Full-time How to Apply If you’re passionate about helping individuals overcome co-occurring challenges and achieve lasting recovery, click “Apply Now” to join Clarvida’s ACTT team.
