Activities Staff - Camp '89 Grand Haven Grand Haven, MISeasonal Part-Time to Full-Time May 1 - October 18Starting at $15.00per hour (based on experience)Start Date:End of April About Camp '89 Camp '89 is a family-focused, amenity-rich campground under new ownership, featuring RV sites, tent camping, and lodging units.As part of our revitalization, we're expanding our activities program to create memorable, engaging experiences for families, kids, and campers of all ages.Our Activities Team plays a key role in bringing fun, energy, and community to life at Camp '89.Position Overview The Activities Staff supports the planning, setup, and execution of a full calendar of recreational programming throughout the camping season.This role is perfect for someone energetic, creative, and guest-focused who enjoys working with both kids and adults in a fun outdoor environment.Activities Staff work closely with the Activities Lead to ensure events run smoothly, safely, and with plenty of enthusiasm.Key Responsibilities Assist in running daily and weekend activities, including crafts, games, themed events, outdoor adventures, and movie nights Help set up, clean up, and organize activity spaces and materials Lead or co-lead activities with a friendly, engaging, guest-first approach Provide support during large events, themed weekends, and holiday celebrations Promote activities through on-site communication and guest interaction Ensure all activities are safe, inclusive, and well-supervised Gather guest feedback and share insights with the Activities Lead Assist with general guest services or campground operations when needed Qualifications Experience in youth programming, hospitality, recreation, or similar fields preferred Comfortable interacting with and leading groups of kids and adults Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic about guest engagement Strong communication and people skills Organized and able to manage time effectively Willingness to work weekends and holidays during peak season Able to participate hands-on in all activities, including setup and cleanup Preferred Skills Experience in campgrounds, resorts, recreation centers, or youth programs Background in arts and crafts, outdoor activities, or youth leadership CPR/First Aid certification Experience assisting volunteers or seasonal staff What We Offer Starting at $15.00per hour, based on experience A fun, laid-back outdoor work environment Opportunities to return in future seasons Creative freedom to help shape activities and guest experiences Supportive, collaborative team culture Opportunity to be part of a growing outdoor destination under new ownership Pay:From $15.00 per hour Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Work Location:In person.
