Spring/Summer Compliance Intern Overview: As a Spring/Summer Compliance Intern at Acuity, you will support our team and diverse client portfolio, gaining hands-on experience in political campaign compliance. The Spring/Summer Compliance Intern is an entry-level role with significant learning opportunities, designed to build foundational knowledge of campaign compliance, contribution processing, and data management. Over the duration of their internship it is the goal of the Spring/Summer Compliance Intern to gain experience and knowledge related to compliance rules, software systems, accurate data tracking, and financial reporting. Spring/Summer Compliance Intern Responsibilities: Contribution Processing (50%) Screen and process campaign contributions, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Import and manage compliance data (NGP, ActBlue, Excel, etc.). Generate, send, and track "cure letters" for potentially impermissible contributions. Administrative Support (50%) Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks, including document organization, work-related errands (including but not limited to bank runs, mail pick-up, and arrange and execute check pick-up/drop-off) Perform other assigned duties related to political compliance. Spring/Summer Compliance Intern Qualifications: Tech-Savvy. The ideal candidate has experience with Excel, Google Drive, and other digital tools. Experience with compliance-related software (e.g., ActBlue, NGP, QuickBooks) is a plus. Keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where precision matters. Comfortable working with large data sets. Organized and efficient: The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of managing multiple tasks and staying on top of deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with task-management software is a plus. Interest in progressive politics. The ideal candidate has a passion for political campaigns. Prior understanding of campaign finance laws is a plus. Spring/Summer Compliance Intern Compensation: Salary: $20/hour with a maximum of 20 hours per week. 10 hours a week minimum.
