Job Description
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Acute Care Telemetry Technician working night shifts on a PRN basis. This role involves continuous cardiac monitoring and surveillance of telemetry patients, ensuring timely recognition and reporting of rhythm changes and potentially life-threatening arrhythmias to the nursing staff according to established protocols. Job Responsibilities Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters. Observe, document, and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms. Recognize rhythm abnormalities and promptly communicate concerns to Registered Nurses. Operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment effectively. Respond appropriately to monitor alarms and emergency situations. Maintain composure and communicate clearly in high-pressure environments. Utilize office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, copiers, telephones, and computers for documentation and communication. Ensure accurate documentation of patient monitoring initiation and discontinuation. Follow proper procedures for managing patient records and confidentiality. Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course preferred. One to two years of relevant work experience preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred. Telemetry Technician experience is a plus. Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
