Job Description
Trusted Health is seeking an Acute Radiology Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging in fast-paced hospital environments. As part of our modern healthcare staffing platform, you will bring your radiologic expertise to acute care settings where timely, accurate imaging is essential to patient outcomes. You will perform a broad range of radiographic procedures—including portable exams, ER and trauma imaging, ICU studies, and routine inpatient exams—by operating fixed and mobile imaging equipment in accordance with physician orders, facility protocols, and radiation safety standards. In this role, you will collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other members of the care team to prioritize imaging for critically ill and emergent patients. You will verify patient identity and clinical indications, explain procedures, and position patients—often with limited mobility—while maintaining compassion, dignity, and comfort. You will apply ALARA principles on every exam, using appropriate shielding, exposure factors, and safety practices to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary radiation exposure. The Acute Radiology Technologist will assess image quality, recognize artifacts or technical issues, and repeat studies only when medically necessary to ensure diagnostic usefulness. You will document exams accurately in PACS, RIS, and electronic medical records and may administer or assist with IV contrast following facility policies, monitoring for and reporting any adverse reactions. You will also support bedside and operating room imaging when required, using proper aseptic technique and working seamlessly with surgical and anesthesia teams. Because Trusted Health prioritizes transparency, innovation, and empowerment, you can expect clear communication around assignments, schedules, and compensation, along with access to a platform that puts your preferences and career goals at the center. This Acute Radiology Technologist opportunity aligns with our broader travel and acute care offerings—providing competitive pay, flexible scheduling options, and comprehensive benefits for clinicians who value variety and autonomy in their work. You will adapt to different hospital environments, follow local policies and regulatory standards, and consistently uphold professional, ethical, and safety expectations. Successful candidates bring strong technical proficiency, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to stay calm and organized during high-acuity situations. You should be comfortable working independently while also serving as a reliable partner to emergency, intensive care, and inpatient teams. By joining Trusted Health, you will help drive better patient outcomes and contribute to a more transparent, clinician-focused model for healthcare staffing.
