Acute Rehab RN Lawrenceburg, TN $2,413/week based on 36 hours/week 3x12 day or night shift 13 week contract to start Must haves:1-2 years of Acute Rehab RN experience, previous hospital experience, TN RN License, BLS CORE Staffing offers Loyalty Bonuses, Health Insurance, 401K to all our contracted clinicians Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Acute Rehab Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team.In this vital role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from acute illnesses or injuries, facilitating their journey toward regained independence and optimal health.Your expertise will support interdisciplinary teams in delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services, ensuring each patient receives personalized, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a vibrant, collaborative setting.Responsibilities Assess patient conditions through thorough physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and detailed patient assessments to develop individualized care plans.Administer medications and treatments with precision, including IV infusions, injections, and medication management aligned with prescribed protocols.Coordinate multidisciplinary care involving physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physicians to optimize recovery outcomes.Manage complex cases such as acute pain management, wound care including suturing and ostomy care, and respiratory support like ventilator management.Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.Provide patient education on recovery processes, medication administration, mobility techniques, and safety protocols to promote independence.Participate in discharge planning by collaborating with case managers to arrange home care services or long-term care placements as needed.Skills Proven experience in acute care settings such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), or hospital medicine with familiarity in trauma medicine and infectious disease care.Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and diagnostic evaluation procedures.Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Cerner and Epic; experience with medical documentation and medical records management.Skilled in advanced nursing procedures such as aseptic technique, catheterization (including Foley and other urinary catheters), phlebotomy, tube feeding, and sterile processing.Ability to perform complex patient assessments involving vital signs monitoring, airway management, ventilator support, and critical care interventions.Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics (memory care/dementia/Alzheimer's care), pediatrics (neonatal ventilator/infant care), individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education, discharge instructions, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to transforming lives through expert rehabilitation nursing!
