This role involves sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, and buffing floor surfaces efficiently and with attention to detail. You will use appropriate chemicals and cleaning supplies following manufacturer guidelines to ensure the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and keep it in good condition. Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of wet floor signs and roping off areas during cleaning. Replenish cleaning supplies and communicate with supervisors when stock is low. Assist visitors with directions when needed, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Maintain cleanliness of facility entries, grounds, and perform trash and linen runs as assigned. Organize and clean supply closets and equipment daily. Strip and wax empty rooms, documenting daily activities accurately. Handle outside trash pickup in designated areas such as parking lots and lawns. Support other Environmental Services areas as requested by supervisors. Education and Experience: Previous experience in floor care or custodial services is preferred but not mandatory. A willingness to learn and follow safety procedures is essential. Requirements: Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment. Good communication skills to assist visitors and coordinate with team members. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and handle equipment.
