The University of the Cumberlands seeks qualified candidates for part-time faculty positions in our Masters program in Computer Science. Successful candidates will hold an earned Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems and have a strong background in online course instruction at the graduate level. Part-time faculty members will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in both online and executive formats, including residency weekend class sessions. Responsibilities: Course Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in online and executive formats for graduate-level courses in Computer Science. Courses include Computer Architecture and Design, Algorithms and Data Structures, Software Engineering and Multiplatform App Development, Secure Software Development, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Principles of Cybersecurity, and Big Data/Data Mining. Student Engagement: Foster a dynamic and interactive learning environment, promoting student engagement and critical thinking. Regularly communicate with students and provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments. Residency Weekends: Participate in residency weekend class sessions as part of the executive format.
