Job Summary and Qualifications The Administrative Care Technician/PCT contributes to high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of clerical tasks.The Administrative Care Technician functions as receptionist for the unit and assists the patient care team while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.As a member of the patient care team, the Administrative Care Tech assists the nursing staff in providing basic patient care.This is a cross over role consisting of both administrative as well as a PCT role.It is preferred that the right candidate have acute care experience within a fast-paced patient forward environment.What you will do in this role:Greet patients and visitors in waiting areas, directing them to other departments, and keeping them informed of wait times.Promotes a positive, customer-oriented demeanor.Perform patient-centered secretarial tasks, such as physician order entry and creating, labeling, and organizing patient charts.Disassemble and file charts after discharge.Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.Perform rounding and respond to call lights and patient requests.Assist in the setup, removal, and cleaning of equipment.Identify malfunctioning equipment and initiate repairs.Monitor unit and patient rooms to assess availability of supplies.What qualifications you will need:High school diploma or GED equivalent CNA certification with the state or Fundamentals of Nursing Course at accredited school - highly preferred Nonviolent Crisis Intervention required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date 1years of experience in an acute care setting HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital.We serve the communities of Seminole and West Volusia County.At HCA Healthcare, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.We are a Level II Trauma Center.We provide the only full-service cardiovascular program.Our program offers open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology.Electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services are also offered by this program.Other services that we provide include orthopedic and spine care, as well as robotic surgery.We offer acute inpatient medical rehabilitation and complete imaging services.HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.In recent years, HCA Healthcare spent an estimated $3.7 billion in cost for the delivery
