Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as an Administrative Medical Scribe specializing in cardiology. This role supports healthcare providers by delivering real-time documentation to enhance efficiency and improve patient care quality. You will accurately capture patient information during visits, allowing physicians to focus on direct patient interaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accompany providers and document patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR). Capture patient history, physical exam findings, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Update patient information and enter orders or referrals as directed. Monitor lab results and promptly inform the physician. Ensure medical record compliance with standards, policies, HIPAA, and Joint Commission guidelines. Prepare medical charts and documentation for review and approval. Assist with administrative tasks to improve patient flow and provider productivity. Education A high school diploma or equivalent is required. College experience or a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred. Experience Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is preferred. Proficiency with EHR systems is also desirable. Mental and Physical Requirements This position requires considerable mental concentration. Physical activities include lifting up to 35 lbs., frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Working Conditions Frequent exposure to infectious diseases and occasional encounters with hostile individuals may occur.
