Administrative Patient Services Representative - Cardiology

This full-time, day-shift role serves as the primary point of contact for cardiology clinics, representing physicians both over the phone and at the front desk. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, exceptional customer service, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Promptly answer and direct telephone calls with courtesy and professionalism. Warmly greet patients and communicate clearly with them and their families, keeping them well-informed. Accurately collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information into the system. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations regarding patient information. Schedule appointments following established protocols. Assist patients and guardians with patient portal setup and encourage portal use for registration and paperwork completion. Make confirmation calls and provide guidance on financial agreements and insurance coverage. Collect co-payments and verify insurance details at the time of service. Update patient records and forms as needed during each encounter. Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and reliability while managing workload under pressure. Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. Preference given to graduates of accredited medical receptionist programs or candidates with two years of healthcare experience. Experience At least two years of experience in a general medical office or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Equivalent customer service experience with responsibility will also be considered.
