Job Description
The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College announces an immediate opening for a full-time Admissions Representative in the Office of Admissions. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, this full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement, life and disability insurance, paid leave, educational benefits, and all other benefits associated with full-time employment. Position Summary: The Admissions Representative is a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented professional who helps foster and grow relationships with students, counselors, school officials, and the community within an assigned territory. The position is responsible for inquiry generation, fielding questions via text, email, or phone, supporting students through the admissions process, and assisting with on-campus events. Many events during the fall months will require evening work, overnight stays, and weekend availability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordination of specific geographic recruitment areas in Ohio and possibly out-of-state. Responsible for implementing event/activity plans for assigned territory that build awareness of our academic and athletic programs and our campus community and drive inquiry generation. This position will work with a diverse range of potential students and families, each with unique circumstances. Build relationships with school counselors and other staff to develop and nurture. The ability to demonstrate empathy is key to success in this role. Working independently, the Admissions Representative will use out-of-the-box critical thinking skills to support the prospective University of Rio Grande students and families through the admissions process, guiding them on the right path toward a successful college experience.
