Job Description At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place.We're committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that's welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth.Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for an Advance Composite Rework and Repair to join our Fabrication team in Everett, Washington.As an Advanced Composite Rework and Repair Technician, you will be vital in performing precise rework and repair operations on both metallic and non-metallic materials.Your attention to detail and adherence to established procedures will be crucial in this role.You will ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and best practices while handling various materials and equipment.Your commitment to quality will be evident in your ability to accurately interpret technical documents and conduct thorough inspections to confirm that every component meets stringent specifications.You will play a critical role in upholding our commitment to safety and quality standards, ensuring that all operations meet regulatory compliance and operational excellence.If you are detail-oriented, possess strong technical skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we invite you to apply and be a part of our mission to deliver excellence in aviation.Position Responsibilities:Plan, layout, and sequence work operations for rework, repair, or changes on completed aircraft and assemblies, utilizing both metallic and non-metallic materials such as aluminum, fiberglass, plastics, and carbon fiber Determine material requirements, including weight, thickness, lap layer, and overlap specifications Interpret blueprints, work orders, rejection tags, and other engineering documents to accomplish work assignments Operate necessary equipment and materials, including thermocouples, mixers, presses, ovens, and sanders, to perform tasks effectively Clean, strip, prime, sand, cut, and prepare materials for bonding, ensuring proper surface conditions Locate and seal leaks in pressure and vacuum bags as needed Select, weigh, and mix adhesives, resins, and other bonding materials, applying them to various substrates for effective bonding Maintain logs and records of work performed and materials used Complete assignments with or without the aid of jigs, fixtures, templates, and patterns, fabricating shop aids as authorized Perform drilling, sawing, filing, sanding, patching, and fitting of parts to meet specifications Regulate temperatures, pressures, and cycles during bonding and curing processes Execute pickups, repairs, or rework of materials, parts, and assemblies Fabricate, assemble, and finish bonded parts and assemblies to meet specifications, ensuring quality and compliance Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required.US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Current Boeing employees working in Puget Sound must submit an Employee Request Transfer (ERT) to be considered in the eligible candidate pool.Resumes of current Puget Sound Boeing employees submitted via Careers at Boeing will not be considered.Basic Qualifications:1years of experience in composite materials and fabrication 1years of experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools 3years of experience in setting and using precision measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and/or dial indicators 3years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints Preferred Qualifications:1 years of experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and related equipment Willing and able to work in confined spaces Experience in composite layup and repair Conflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Typical Education & Experience:High school graduate or GED preferred.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.Drug Free Workplace:Boei
