PIH Health is seeking a Advance Practice Provider Lead - Hematology Oncology to join our growing, multi-disciplinary Cancer Program. This leadership role combines direct patient care with APP oversight, staff education, and operational support across outpatient clinic and infusion center settings. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise in Hematology/Oncology and chemotherapy management, along with demonstrated leadership abilities and a passion for mentoring clinical teams. Position Highlights Newly created Lead APP role within an established Hematology/Oncology department Combination of clinical practice, APP leadership, and specialty-specific education opportunities Opportunity to work in both outpatient clinic and infusion center settings within a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive Cancer Program Integrated delivery system with seamless collaboration across specialties and care teams Collaborative, physician-led environment with strong provider retention and long-tenured staff Accredited excellence recognized by NAPBC, COC, and NAPRC Unified EMR system supporting coordinated patient care across the network Full-time schedule consisting of 40 hours per week with approximately 75% clinical responsibilities and 25% administrative/leadership responsibilities Monday–Friday schedule designed to support strong work-life balance Position Summary The essential functions of a Lead Advanced Practice Provider fall in 3 categories: Clinical Advanced Practice Provider; APP Oversight and Leadership and Specialty Specific Clinical Trainer. This leadership role will have direct oversight of the APPs within the specialty and will collaborate with PHP Group Operations, Clinical Education/Professional Practice and Physician Leadership teams in providing clinical direction and specialty specific education to clinical support staff and professional growth and development of APPs. Lead APP will develop, coordinate, and manage APP clinic schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and patient access Required Skills And Experience Providing comprehensive Hematology/Oncology care in outpatient clinic and infusion center settings Conducting in-office consults and assisting physicians across multiple locations Supporting provider and APP PTO coverage Delivering specialty-specific training and education to clinical staff Assisting with APP scheduling and operational workflow Supporting onboarding and professional development initiatives Communicating effectively with patients regarding cancer diagnosis and treatment plans Qualifications Current California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license Graduate of an accredited Adult, Family, or Acute Care NP Program Minimum of three (3) years Hematology/Oncology experience preferred Demonstrated expertise in Hematology/Oncology and chemotherapy management Board Certified Oncology NP or board eligible preferred Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities Independent and collaborative clinical practice style Compensation Range:- Benefits Competitive compensation with strong earning potential Shareholder opportunity after 5 years Full Medical, Dental & Vision benefits Up to 267 PTO hours annually CME allowance Retirement plan with 3% Safe Harbor contribution Malpractice coverage License & DEA reimbursement Cell phone stipend Disability & life insurance coverage PIH Health is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other chara
