Join a dedicated healthcare team in a regional clinic serving the Midwest. This role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and excels in multitasking and critical thinking. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling. Administer medications as prescribed (oral, IM, SC). Assist providers with procedures, maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments. Support examinations within the scope of practice. Conduct phone triage and act as a liaison between patients and providers. Communicate test results and assist with follow-up calls. Document patient complaints and visit details accurately. Escort patients, obtain vital signs, and update medication lists. Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens. Educate patients on electronic health record tools and provide supportive teaching. Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, handling precertifications and authorizations. Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols. Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program and completion of an approved IV therapy course. Experience: Nursing or healthcare experience preferred but not mandatory. Certification/License: Current LPN license valid in the state of Missouri. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required. Mental/Physical Requirements: Requires considerable mental focus. Physical activities include lifting up to 35 lbs, frequent walking, standing, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.
