Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as an Oncology Nurse Coordinator specializing in radiation oncology. This role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering comprehensive assessment, treatment, testing, and education to oncology patients. Key Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of oncology and hematology treatment plans, ensuring adherence to established protocols for a safe and clean environment. Continuously evaluate patient care plans and prepare patients for appointments by screening and verifying necessary assessments and test results. Manage and update patient medication and summary lists in collaboration with providers. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in medical records. Verify medication dosages for treatment plans and assist with examinations and procedures within scope of practice. Coordinate care with internal and external ancillary services, including specialty pharmacies and supportive services. Provide counseling and education to patients and families on all aspects of oncology and hematology, including preventative measures. Maintain authorization for patient medications and procedures, oversee medication samples, and ensure quality control. Administer medications safely according to protocol and assist in maintaining emergency equipment. Ensure all instruments are sterile and ready for procedures, including accessing implanted ports using sterile techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to maintain a safe and effective continuum of care. Document investigational protocol information and ensure patient understanding of investigational drug materials. Maintain ongoing oncology education requirements as mandated by accrediting bodies. Education Graduation from an accredited RN program is required. A Bachelor of Scienc
