Position Highlights New leadership opportunity supporting Primary Care & Urgent Care APP operations in the Greater Austin Region 0.6 FTE Clinical / 0.4 FTE Administrative split - blend of patient care and leadership responsibilities Enhanced Care Team (ECT) model with dedicated support staff (MA, LVN, PSS) Manageable patient volume (~14 patients/day) allowing focus on quality care and admin duties Opportunity to oversee APP workflows, quality initiatives, and operational improvements Collaborative environment with established physician leadership and APP Administrator mentorship Shared in-basket model to support team-based care delivery Clinical Responsibilities: New patient visits, follow-ups, and acute access care Perform minor procedures (I&Ds, pap smears, simple suturing, injections) Participate in in-basket management and care coordination Administrative Responsibilities: Support APP operations, workflow optimization, and team oversight Engage in quality assurance initiatives (monthly QA with supervising physician) Collaborate with leadership on program development and process improvement Ideal Candidate Profile: 3+ years of experience preferred Strong interest in leadership, operations, and APP development Comfortable balancing clinical care with administrative responsibilities Additional Details: Outpatient-only setting (EPIC training required - outpatient) No call expectations noted; schedule based on clinic needs Moonlighting opportunities available Structured onboarding and mentorship with current APP Administrator About Us Here at Baylor Scott & White Health we promote the well-being of all individuals, families, and communities. Job Summary The APP Administrator leads Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs) in a specific region or service line. This ensures APPs perform their roles effectively. The administrator collaborates with Human Resources, the Office of Medical Staff Appointments, division and department heads, and clinic or hospital administration. They help develop and implement policies for APPs in their region or service line. The role includes administrative organization, leadership, mentoring, and committee representation. It also involves selecting APP representatives at the regional or service line level and coordinating educational programs for APPs. The APP in this position will have designated administrative time, not exceeding 60%, as decided by regional/service line administration and the CMO. Essential Functions of the Role Provides patient services under the delegation of supervising physician and/or the designated supervising staff physician. Interviews and examines patients to establish each patient's symptoms and prepares patient database to create or update patient files. Performs comprehensive examinations and medical screenings. Accurately, clearly, and concisely records complete information in patient records. Completes and/or assists in the formulation of diagnostic, therapeutic and follow-up plans and/or treatment protocols as appropriate. Interprets laboratory data and orders appropriate tests following protocols or delegation. Follows up on patient status and diagnostic tests. Reports relevant information to the supervising physician. Communicates clearly with the patient, supervising physician, and caregivers. Shares information that may influence the patient's care or well-being. Prepares clinical progress notes and other required documentation according to policies. Provides recommendations to the regional CMO and regional clinic administrative leadership regarding any pertinent APP related issues. Promotes appropriate utilization of APPs throughout the region. Supports the recruitment, orientation, and departmental onboarding of APPs within the region. Partners with other internal departments on issues involving APPs. Maintains
