Advanced PTA | Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), providing compassionate and effective patient care under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves conducting patient assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate patient assessments and implement interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist and physicians. Coordinate regularly with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust care plans based on patient progress or changes in condition. Adhere to established care plans and document all patient interactions and treatments within required timeframes. Participate actively in interdisciplinary care planning meetings to optimize patient outcomes. Provide education to patients and caregivers tailored to individualized care plans, evaluating the effectiveness of these educational efforts. Report promptly any changes in patient status to appropriate healthcare team members. Manage time efficiently to meet daily productivity goals while ensuring cost-effective use of medical supplies. Education Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required. Experience At least one year of experience in a Joint Commission accredited hospital setting. Minimum one year experience in an acute rehabilitation facility or equivalent, focusing on adult patient care. Home care experience of six months is preferred. Computer proficiency is a plus. Certifications and Licenses Current Physical Therapist Assistant license valid in the state of Missouri. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
