Job Description
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), providing compassionate and effective patient care under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves conducting patient assessments, delivering prescribed interventions, and actively participating in interdisciplinary care planning to support patient recovery and wellness. Key Responsibilities Perform accurate patient assessments and collaborate closely with Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans. Coordinate care regularly with supervising therapists and promptly communicate any changes in patient condition. Adhere to established care plans and deliver interventions accordingly. Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care coordination. Provide patient and caregiver education tailored to individual needs and evaluate the effectiveness of these educational efforts. Maintain timely and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and treatments. Manage daily tasks efficiently to meet productivity goals while ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Education Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required. Experience At least one year of experience in a Joint Commission accredited hospital setting. Minimum one year experience in an acute rehabilitation facility or equivalent, focusing on adult patient care. Home care experience of six months is preferred. Computer proficiency is advantageous. Certifications and Licenses Current Physical Therapist Assistant license valid in the state of Missouri. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
