Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered respiratory care within a supportive environment that upholds professional respiratory therapy standards and fosters relationship-based care. Deliver care guided by ethical codes, state practice acts, and evidence-based protocols. Demonstrate expertise in respiratory assessments, treatment modalities, life support certifications, critical thinking, and prioritization. Commit to ongoing professional development and educational growth. Essential Responsibilities: Assessment: Conduct thorough age-specific assessments and reassessments. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to gather comprehensive medical histories. Document findings in accordance with unit policies. Diagnosis: Identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, infection control, environmental, and educational needs. Prioritize care based on assessments and prepare tailored patient and family education. Planning/Outcome: Work with healthcare providers to develop and revise individualized care and discharge plans that align with best practice standards and patient needs. Implementation: Deliver age-appropriate care using evidence-based interventions. Coordinate with community resources and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Evaluation: Continuously assess the effectiveness of respiratory interventions and patient responses. Adjust care plans accordingly and evaluate educational outcomes for patients and families. Education and Experience: Graduate of a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program. Associate Degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
