The Advanced Telemetry RN operates with a high level of autonomy and expertise, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal health outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Monitor patients requiring continuous cardiac observation. Conduct thorough assessments and respond swiftly to changes in cardiac rhythms and neurological status. Administer medications, including non-titratable drips, while monitoring therapeutic effects. Create and implement personalized care plans for cardiac and neurological conditions. Advocate for patients with empathy, ensuring dignity and respect. Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and lifestyle adjustments. Promote evidence-based telemetry care practices. Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean environment adhering to infection control and regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission and OSHA. Identify and report safety hazards and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Documentation: Accurately document patient care and responses in Electronic Health Records following established standards. Professional Development and Leadership: Mentor new graduate nurses, new hires, and students to support their growth. Engage in ongoing education and serve as a resource for best telemetry practices.
