Company Description CASA of South Louisiana (SoLA) has been making a significant difference in the lives of foster children in Acadia, Lafayette, and Vermilion Parishes since 2008. Our mission is to advocate for children who have suffered abuse and neglect and are now navigating the foster care system. We aim to provide these children with a consistent and supportive presence, helping them achieve stability and experience the sense of belonging that comes with a loving home. At CASA of SoLA, we equip volunteers and staff with the training needed to advocate effectively for these children's best interests, fostering long-lasting positive impacts on their lives. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Advocate Supervisor role located in the Lafayette, Louisiana Metropolitan Area. The Advocate Supervisor will oversee and support volunteer advocates to ensure that children receive appropriate advocacy in court and in their lives. Responsibilities include managing the assignment and supervision of volunteer advocates, providing guidance and mentorship, reviewing case progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with court and program policies. The Advocate Supervisor will also assist in the recruitment and training of advocates, collaborate with various agencies and stakeholders, and serve as a liaison between the organization, the court system, and the child welfare community. Qualifications Strong leadership, mentorship, and supervisory skills to effectively guide volunteer advocates. Experience in case management, including reviewing case progress, maintaining accurate case documentation, and ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with volunteers, court representatives, and other stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in an on-site role, including proficiency in time management, organization, and teamwork. Experience or knowledge in child advocacy, social work, or related fields is preferred but not required. Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred. Passion for making a positive and lasting impact in the lives of children and families.
