About Team Adventure Aquatics: Team Adventure Aquatics provides engaging, safe, and inclusive aquatic fitness experiences for a wide range of participants. We focus on high‑quality instruction, positive energy, and creating welcoming aquatic environments that support health, wellness, and fun at every level. Position Overview Team Adventure Aquatics is seeking a certified Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) Aquatics Instructor to teach water aerobics classes on an as‑needed, contract basis. This position is ideal for an experienced, dependable instructor who is comfortable stepping in to teach classes as coverage is needed and who can deliver safe, effective, and engaging aquatic workouts. Key Responsibilities Lead water aerobics classes in accordance with AEA guidelines and best practices Provide clear instruction, demonstrate proper technique, and offer modifications for varying fitness levels Maintain a safe, supportive, and motivating class environment Monitor participants for signs of fatigue or distress and respond appropriately Set up and break down necessary equipment before and after each class Communicate professionally with participants and Adventure Aquatics staff Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled classes Uphold all pool, facility, and safety policies during instruction Required Qualifications Current Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) certification Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (willing to provide certification) Experience teaching water aerobics or aquatic fitness classes Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage participants with a positive, energetic teaching style Reliability and flexibility to accept classes on an as‑needed basis Preferred Qualifications Experience working with diverse age groups and fitness levels Additional aquatic or group fitness certifications Familiarity with shallow‑ and deep‑water class formats Compensation Paid per class (rate based on experience and certification) Independent contractor (1099) position Schedule Flexible, based on customer need Classes may occur on weekdays, evenings, or weekends depending on demand Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour Benefits On-the-job training Work Location: In person
