ABOUT THE SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT Warren Tech is the premier Career and Technical Education (CTE) center for Jefferson County Public Schools. An educational and technological leader, Warren Tech integrates academics in career and technical education, preparing students for both college and career. Warren Tech students are engaged and committed to their programs, which is evidenced by a 93% attendance rate, 96% graduation rate, and a 97% program completion rate. Virtually all programs offer academic credit in 11th or 12th grade math, science, and English, which counts toward their graduation. AP coursework is also offered by some programs. Another hallmark of Warren Tech's success is the college credit awarded to our students each year. Last year, our students earned nearly 13,000 Red Rocks Community College credits. A large number of students attend colleges and universities after finishing Warren Tech, and some students have even earned an Associate's degree in a Warren Tech program before they finish high school. Warren Tech students also earn industry certifications through their coursework and participate in client work, internships, and job shadows with industry partners. ABOUT YOU Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have ONE of the following: Valid and current state or national industry license or certification (Avionics Technician Certification, Professional Engineer, Autodesk Certified Associate or Professional [Autocad, Revit, Fusion, Civil 3D Engineer, Inventor], Certified Solidworks Associate or Professional). Other credentials will be considered as well. 24 semester hours of related post-secondary coursework verified on an official transcript (see CDE website: Secondary CTE Engineering and Technology) AND Applicants must have ONE of the following: 2,000-4,000 hours of verified occupational experience Three (3) years full-time verified, licensed teaching experience in the content area AND Applicants must be able to obtain a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Authorization in Engineering and Technology prior to their first day of work. Special Knowledge/Skills: In-depth knowledge of aerospace and aviation principles, including aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, and spacecraft systems Practical knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and quality/safety standards Experience applying industry practices, such as systems thinking, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting Proficiency in relevant engineering and technical tools, such as CAD software, simulation tools, or manufacturing equipment Knowledge of aerospace and aviation safety regulations and best practices Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, age-appropriate instruction for high school students Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment Ability to create local industry partnerships to support work-based learning opportunities for students, including internships Knowledge of career pathways in aerospace, aviation, engineering, and advanced manufacturing, including post-secondary and certification options Strong organizational, communication, and management skills ABOUT THE JOB Job Goal: Provide program development and instruction for the Aer
