We are seeking a certified Medical Aesthetician at our Portage, IN location with occasional travel to Valparaiso location. We offer the latest in medical weight loss, anti-aging, aesthetics and med spa services in a friendly, nurturing environment. Experience working in a practice providing preventive or elective care is preferred. Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Medical Esthetician will: · apply the principles, methods and techniques of medicine to provide comprehensive wellness and med spa services · provide leadership, direction and coordination of all clinical activities involving professional medical judgement ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: · Prepare patient for certain procedures and provide innovative treatments · Provide client/patient referrals · Conduct treatment consultations with patients and review patient history for possible contraindications. · Identify patient goals and recommend services and products to achieve optimal results while ensuring patient safety. · Perform non-invasive medical spa services such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, facials, head-spa, body treatments, and other menu items. · Educate patients on necessity for skin care at home and recommend products to meet their needs. · Regular follow-up with clients after treatments. · Other duties as assigned Must have at least two years of experience and be able to assist with other office duties if necessary. Qualified candidates must possess Indiana esthetician license and have training in medical grade peels and microdermabrasion, microneedling, facials and other menu services. Must be licensed as per state requirements. Experience working in a plastic surgery practice or med spa preferred Training in laser therapy also preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Background in health & wellness, customer service, sales and/or marketing a plus. EDUCATION Certification from an accredited esthetician program EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED required. Basic computer skills required. Two years of experience working in a med spa or dermatology practice preferred. The ideal candidate will have background in any of the following: · anti-aging · aesthetics or medical cosmetics or dermatology · med spa LICENSE/CERTIFICATION High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Esthetician program and state licensed 2 years of experience in a medical practice or spa. Schedule: Schedule is negotiable between Monday to Friday. 2-3 days a week starting with extra availability as needed. Weekend availability is a possibility.
