SUMMARY We are currently hiring for the 2026–2027 school year. Training will begin in June, with regular program hours starting in August 2026. The Career Exploration Instructor leads engaging, hands-on enrichment classes that introduce students to a variety of career pathways through arts, crafts, cooking, leadership activities, STEM projects, creative design, and interactive learning experiences. Using a developmentally differentiated curriculum for TK-Middle school and provided training, instructors create a fun, safe, and supportive environment where students build confidence, creativity, communication, and real-world skills. Key Responsibilities Teach and lead hands-on enrichment classes using provided curriculum, lesson plans, and training Facilitate activities related to arts, crafts, cooking, business, leadership, STEM, design, media, and career exploration Create an engaging and positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and participation Adapt instruction to meet the developmental needs of different grade levels Guide students through interactive projects, presentations, role-play activities, and creative challenges Support the development of communication, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills Prepare materials and maintain organized, clean, and safe learning spaces Encourage curiosity and help students explore future career interests through experiential learning Communicate professionally with school staff, families, and program leadership Curriculum & Program Focus The program uses a structured, developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to support students through progressive career exploration and skill-building experiences. TK–2nd Grade Students explore careers through imagination, play, storytelling, arts and crafts, movement activities, cooking experiences, and guided discovery. 3rd–5th/6th Grade Students participate in project-based learning experiences focused on leadership, business, healthcare, arts, media, public speaking, STEM, design, and real-world career applications. Qualifications Passion for working with children and leading creative activities Interest in arts, crafts, cooking, education, enrichment, or career exploration Strong communication and classroom management skills Energetic, creative, reliable, and professional attitude Ability to lead groups in a fun and engaging learning environment Teaching, coaching, camp, or youth program experience preferred but not required Curriculum and training provided Skills Preferred Arts & crafts experience Cooking or culinary experience Public speaking and leadership Creativity and adaptability Organization and teamwork Experience working with elementary-aged students Work Environment Elementary schools After-school programs Enrichment academies Community programs Camps and workshops Mission of the Role To inspire students through creative, hands-on career exploration experiences that build confidence, curiosity, leadership, and lifelong learning skills while exposing them to a wide variety of future career pathways. EDUCATION ■ High school diploma or equivalent required ■ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in: Education Child Development Psychology Counseling Related field REQUIRED ■ Must pass a background check ■ TB test clearance (renewed every 4 years) ■ CPR/First Aid Certification Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Work Location: In person
