About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to join our reputable team, working with a well-established general contractor located in the South Suburbs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and oversee a variety of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive industry knowledge, and a proactive approach to project management. You will collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver projects that meet or exceed expectations. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and navigating complex project environments effectively. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a track record of successfully managing diverse commercial projects. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Excellent organizational and time management capabilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines and budgets. Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing project demands. Valid driver’s license and willingness to conduct regular site visits. Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project goals, specifications, and timelines. Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, procurement strategies, and scheduling. Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement corrective actions to address financial variances. Oversee and review project documentation such as contracts, change orders, and progress reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality standards, and safety compliance. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, fostering a collaborative work environment. Identify potential risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery. Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and stakeholders regarding project milestones, challenges, and updates. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices, integrating innovative solutions into project execution.
