Alaskan Tour Guides – Small Group Multi-Day Tours Palmer, AK $280/day + Gratuities | Seasonal ( Mid June – Mid Sept, 2026) The Opportunity Do you have a deep-rooted passion for the Last Frontier? Are you a natural storyteller who thrives on creating "once-in-a-lifetime" moments for others? Alaskan Tour Guides is seeking professional, energetic, and knowledgeable Tour Guides for the 2026 summer season. Unlike high-volume bus tours, we specialize in personalized, small-group experiences (max 13 guests). You won't just be a driver—you will be the face of Alaska, leading 6-10 day journeys through the heart of the state. The Schedule: Work Hard, Rest Hard This is a seasonal rotation designed for those who love life on the road but value their personal time: On the Road: You will lead immersive tours lasting 6 to 10 days , staying overnight in Alaska's most iconic locations. Recharge: Between tours, you will enjoy several consecutive days off at home in the Palmer/Wasilla area to rest and reset. Flexibility: Must be available to work weekends during scheduled tour blocks. What You’ll Do Lead the Journey: Drive 13-passenger DOT-regulated vans (with trailers) through Southcentral and Interior Alaska. Be the Expert: Provide engaging narration on Alaska’s history, wildlife, and your own personal experiences in the state. Manage Logistics: Handle lodging check-ins, activity coordination and baggage handling. Curate the Experience: Ensure guests from all walks of life feel welcomed, safe, and inspired. Requirements Local Expertise: High preference for long-term Alaska residents, specifically those based in Palmer or Wasilla . The Technicals: Age 23+; clean MVR; ability to pass a DOT Physical and UA Drug Test; ability to lift 50 lbs. Professionalism: Neat presentation and a calm demeanor under pressure. Compensation & Perks Daily Rate: $280 per day. Gratuities: High earning potential from our appreciative small-group clientele. Lodging: Fully covered at high-quality accommodations while you are on the road. Meals: Picnic lunches and select group meals are provided while on tour; other meals are the responsibility of the guide.
