Additional Bonuses, Group Health Insurance benefits available day 1, 401k and more Radiologic Technologist / Rad Tech Shifts: 12hr, 07:00-19:30 Job Summary: Performs radiographic procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with accreting bodies and/or manufacturer guidelines and as outlined in department protocols. Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients - Take a patient's medical history, explain the procedure, and position the patient and equipment to take the image Operate equipment - Use computerized and manual equipment to take images, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, fluoroscopy, or sonography Evaluate images - Review the images to ensure they are clear enough for a doctor to diagnose Document patient care - Record patient medical histories, enter patient data into computers, and maintain patient records Communicate with patients and doctors - Explain procedures and test results to patients, and inform doctors of patient conditions Protect patients and staff - Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff, and follow infection control policies Assist with other tasks - Help with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and restocking supplies Requirements: CRT / ARRT BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. Experience using Siemens fixed equipmentCarestream portables GE OEC C-arms Step-down, telemetry, or critical care experience preferred.Level I trauma Proficient Operating Room experience due to occasional OR case Work Environment & Demands: Hospital settings (Med-Surg units, post-op recovery, step-down). Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
