Job Description
AMA Certified Medical Assistant - Float Position Roy, WA $27,389 - $38,199 a year Full Time Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as a Certified Medical Assistant (MA) supporting multiple specialties. This full-time role involves assisting healthcare providers by performing patient care duties that ensure smooth clinic operations and positive patient experiences. Job Summary As an integral member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care within the MA scope of practice, accurately carry out provider orders, and facilitate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency. You will assist with treatments and procedures, prepare patients for exams, and maintain up-to-date patient health information. Additional responsibilities include administering immunizations under provider supervision, maintaining accurate records in electronic health systems, coordinating referrals, managing exam room supplies, and supporting infection control practices. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program. Experience and Certifications Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. Requirements and Skills Knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice. Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and perform independent judgment in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to teamwork, adaptability, and maintaining a positive work environment. Work Environment This position involves an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with some floating between specialties.
