Responsibilities: GENERAL PURPOSE Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. UR AIR is seeking a passionate individual to step into a rewarding new outpatient role where your clinical expertise and patient advocacy are the foundation of our care team. As a Rheumatology Clinic RN, you will serve as an essential partner to our faculty and APPs, practicing at the top of your license to guide patients through complex autoimmune conditions. This position relies on advanced triage skills and clinical judgment to manage urgent flares and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will play a pivotal role in our biologic medication workflow and collaborate with a dedicated prior authorization team to ensure timely access to life-changing therapies. From providing hands-on self-injection training and other patient education, to managing complex medication protocols, you will build meaningful, long-term relationships that empower patients to manage their health with confidence.
