Job Title:American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter - Healthcare (Full-Time, On-Site) Job Description:We are seeking qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters to provide in-person interpretation services at a secure healthcare facility in Hagerstown, MD.This role supports individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential treatment setting Work Setting:In-person Location:Hagerstown, MD (On-site only) Schedule:16 hours/day coverage (shift-based) 7 days/week, including holidays Typical shifts:6:00 AM - 2:00 PM 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Responsibilities:Provide ASL interpretation for assigned individual(s) Remain with the individual throughout the shift Accompany individuals to:Medical appointments Community outings Court-related activities Maintain professional neutrality at all times Follow all facility policies and safety protocols Work Environment:Residential healthcare facility Individuals may have:Intellectual disabilities Behavioral or mental health conditions Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of ASL interpreting experience Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred Ability to work in a secure, structured environment Must complete required training prior to start Additional Requirements:Must pass background check Must comply with facility security procedures No use of personal electronic devices during shifts Pay:$38.00 - $48.00 per hour Application Question(s):Have you previously worked with individuals with intellectual disabilities or in a healthcare/residential setting?
