American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter - School-Based 2026-2027 School YearLocation:Dorchester School District 2 - Summerville, SC Zack Group is seeking qualified ASL Interpreters to support students in a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 school year.This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative educational environment while making a meaningful impact on students who are deaf or hard of hearing.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive pay:$48-$60/hour (travelers welcome) Weekly pay (W-2 employee status) 2 weeks of paid time off (PTO) Medical, dental, and vision benefits starting day one 401(k) with company match (vesting after 30 days) CEU reimbursement up to $150 $500 referral bonus Local and travel opportunities available Ongoing recruiter and leadership support Important - South Carolina Requirements:New Educational ASL Interpreter requirements were approved at the state level on February 27, 2026.All candidates must meet updated state guidelines prior to submission.View Requirements:https://www.scstatehouse.gov/regs/5319.docx https://www.southcarolinarid.org/SC-Interpreter-Requirements Position Summary:The ASL Interpreter will provide interpretation and transliteration services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.This role supports communication access in the classroom, collaborates with school staff, and participates in the IEP process to ensure student success.Responsibilities:Provide ASL interpretation during classroom instruction and school activities Support students in accessing curriculum and communication Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teams Facilitate communication between students, staff, and families Utilize assistive technology and educational resources Maintain confidentiality and professionalism Document and report student progress as required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred) Current ASL certification (RID or state equivalent) Strong ASL proficiency and understanding of Deaf culture Experience working with deaf or hard of hearing individuals preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills.#allied1 Pay:$48.00 - $65.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance License/Certification:Certified Sign Language Interpreter (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
