Job Summary: Join a compassionate clinical team dedicated to supporting pediatric patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assisting with healthcare delivery and patient management, adapting daily duties to meet the evolving needs of the practice. Essential Responsibilities: Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines. Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients. Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits by accurately completing and updating medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and gathering medical history and chief complaints. Monitor patients exhibiting abnormal symptoms, communicate findings to the physician, and document observations thoroughly. Confirm patient understanding of physician instructions upon discharge and accurately document all medical record entries and billing information in the electronic system. Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings under supervision. Manage sample medications and logs, coordinate necessary patient testing or admissions, and obtain required referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations. Distribute educational materials and support patient comprehension regarding treatments and medication usage. Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
