As analytics manager for Global Coffee Operations, you will shape Global Coffee Operations through analytics that directly influence quality, cost and supply resiliency. By guiding business decisions for both global green coffee operations and coffee quality through data analysis, you will assess potential planning and logistical scenarios and quantify impact and return on investment. In this position, you will also partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data-driven insights into operational strategies and initiatives as well as support project implementation. As an analytics manager, you will... Lead end to end data driven initiatives for global green coffee operations and coffee quality in support of business decision-making processes and to drive strategic growth objectives Develop predictive models and forecasting to anticipate future trends and outcomes, support long-term planning and resource allocation for global green coffee storage locations and drive medium to long term quality improvements. Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (planning, transportation, traffic, and trading) to understand business requirements and develop analytics solutions that address key challenges and opportunities. Consult with stakeholders on the results of data analysis, translating technical findings into actionable recommendations, and strategic insights. Supports continuous improvement projects and insight operationalization. Drive creation of business insights, visualizations, and recommendations; lead presentations. Generate reports and dashboards that enable real-time visibility to business. Publish monthly business metric reports for the green coffee operation network. Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, enabling informed decision-making at all levels of the organization. Collaborate with Starbucks technology on business requirement mapping and UAT. Immerse with business partners to understand context and initiatives; serve as primary analytic resource in discussions to define and shape business questions. Create and foster an environment that has a bias for innovation and action. Driving Team Culture - Challenge and inspire team members to achieve business results. Conduct and ensure the completion of performance reviews. Provide coaching, direction, and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business, and customer results. Oversee training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions. We’d Love To Hear From People With BA or BS with concentration in quantitative discipline (Planning, Engineering, Economics, or similar) or equivalent experience Experience working in or supporting supply chain roles (e.g. planning, operations) – applied analytics leveraging data science or discipline – 6-8+ years Data research, report management and knowledge of a supply chain function - 3 years Quantitative and qualitative research, including modeling tools, and data analysis and interpretation – 3-5+ years Project and/or program management experience – 3-5+ years Ability to independently develop executive summaries and articulate technical information to non-technical audiences. Strong written verbal communication skills. Ability to function independently in business or organizational environments, partnering with senior leaders and effectively delivering presentations Highly skilled and experienced in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Advanced skills in data visualization technology (Tableau and Power BI). Exposure and business-applicable experience in several Modeling & Machine Learning Techniques (regression, tree models, survival analysis, cluster analysis, forecasting, anomaly detection, association rules, etc.) and data ETL (Oracle, SQL). Big data processing techniques, preferred. Passion for using data insights to deliver operational and quality goals.
