About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer with over five years of experience to join our dynamic team at Kaav Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated e-commerce applications on the Android platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and ship new features, ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and quality of the applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading small development teams, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle. Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Android application development. Expert knowledge of Java and the Java Development Kit (JDK). Proficiency with the Android SDK and Android Studio or IntelliJ IDEA. Strong understanding of Android UI components, including Fragments and Custom View development. Experience developing multithreaded and networked applications. Exceptional debugging and analysis skills using Android Debug Bridge (ADB). Hands-on experience with application submission and provisioning processes. Proven leadership skills with experience managing and delegating tasks within small developer teams. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging in both technical and non-technical discussions. Experience designing and developing complete Android applications from inception to deployment. Familiarity with OpenGL, the Native Development Kit (NDK), and high-performance graphics programming. Knowledge of web services integration related to mobile applications. Comprehensive understanding of Android UI paradigms from Gingerbread to Oreo, including Material Design principles. Experience with protocol buffers and data serialization techniques. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust e-commerce Android applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement new features and enhancements. Identify performance bottlenecks, fix bugs, and optimize application stability and efficiency. Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices. Lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and maintenance. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Android development. Assist in the application submission and provisioning process, ensuring compliance with app store requirements. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate web services and third-party APIs effectively. Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing to support team growth and project continuity.
