Job Description
COMPANY OVERVIEW: Mississippi Reproductive Medicine is a dedicated medical clinic specializing in reproductive health services. Our team is committed to providing comprehensive care and advancing technologies in reproductive medicine to improve patient outcomes. JOB SUMMARY: Dependent upon current training status, performs andrology, and hormone analysis procedures. Coordinates activities of lab with clinical activities of practice. Conducts lab procedures and monitors related quality assurance, quality control and record-keeping. Keeps abreast of and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, medical and technical policies, and procedural guidelines applicable to the laboratory and clinic. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Regulatory: Performs laboratory services in accordance with laboratory policies and practices as set forth in the Operating, Safety, and Quality Management Guidelines Conducts laboratory services in accordance with Federal, State and Local laws and guidelines. Conducts maintenance of laboratory operations in conformity with OSHA and CLIA ‘88 regulations Conducts activities related to Andrology and hormone analysis for Endocrinology Quality Management: Participates in laboratory quality assurance and quality control programs as directed by the Laboratory Director or designee. Participates as required in appropriate proficiency testing programs to monitor laboratory practice outcomes and to measure on a recurrent and regular basis that such outcomes meet or exceed industry and general standards of practice. Operations: Carries out, as required, or directed, laboratory services and functions in a manner that is consistent with the laboratory’s operating procedures Performs duties as required to maintain laboratory readiness for inspection and review by appropriate regulatory agencies. Assist as required in the development and implementation of new laboratory services Performs andrology procedures as required including: IUI sperm preparation, semen analysis, morphology exams, sperm preparation for IVF and sperm cryopreservation. Coordinates shipping and receiving of cryopreserved and sperm. Performs hormone analysis testing and maintenance of analyzer as required including: daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance, start-up and shut-down of analyzer, daily controls, loading and unloading of serum samples, review and release of test results and manual dilutions. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology, or a related field required. Strong attention to detail. Self-motivated and works well independently. Prior laboratory experience preferred.
