Job Description
Looking for a highly qualified individual to work alongside a traveling dental anesthesiologist in various dental clinics, providing general anesthesia and sedation for pediatric and adult patients. Job Description Transporting and setting up anesthesia equipment Setting up anesthesia supplies and turning over the procedure room Managing the patient's airway Recovering the patient after anesthesia and instructing the parents of post-anesthesia instructions Other associated tasks Patient pool: 75% pediatric / 25% adults Approximately 80 hours per month . Schedule is not consistent between weeks, but is consistently about 80 hours between months. Travel Requirements Able to drive to various locations within the DFW Area on a regular basis Able to drive to Hill County, TX two days per month Able to travel to Grand Rapids, MI for one week of the month (flight and hotel will be paid for) Qualifications Certified or able to become certified in Basic Life Support (AHA version) Highly motivated and want to learn Planning a future in the healthcare field and wanting to gain the experience Able to stay calm under pressure Comfortable managing anxious kids between 2 to 8 years old Comfortable calming anxious parents Able to lift and carry patients weighting 75lbs No problem getting up early in the morning (typical setup time is between 6:00am-6:30am). Depending on your location and the location of the destination clinic, you may have to be up between 4:00am-5:00am.
