Job Description
We are looking for a candidate with a strong desire to save lives and a positive team attitude who truly loves animals! Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays and enjoy working with dogs, cats, and people of all ages and personalities. Requires Experience in Pet care. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a non-traditional work environment and be able to work varied days/hours including nights and weekends. This position has rapid growth potential and reports to Manager of Lifesaving Centers. Duties will include: Feeding dogs and cats living in the Lifesaving Centers Cleaning inside and outside, and ensuring the environment and all habitats are clean and safe for pets and people Working with volunteers and other staff Bathing dogs and cats Cleaning travel crates and litter boxes Giving medicines to dogs and cats Transporting dogs and cats to vet appts and adoption events After hours and holiday communication (texts and calls) with volunteers and staff is necessary and expected Other duties as assigned We are looking for a professional team player with ALL TEN of the following attributes: True love of animals and a strong desire to save lives - our mission! Punctual Energetic, independent worker Physical Requirements: Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions Standing and walking for long periods of time throughout the day Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Lifting/moving dog/cat food/litter Loading and driving large van of dogs and cats to events and appointments Job Type: Part-time Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour Application Question(s) Are you currently working?
