Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Resident Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential community in the Portland Metro area.This role is responsible for property performance, team leadership, leasing oversight, resident satisfaction, and maintenance coordination.The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and experienced in both property operations and team management, with a strong focus on customer service and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesProperty Operations & Maintenance Oversee day-to-day property operations to ensure the community is clean, safe, and well-maintained Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate repairs, inspections, and unit turnovers Conduct regular property walks and identify needed improvements Respond to emergencies and ensure proper on-call coverage Leasing & Marketing Oversee leasing activities including applications, approvals, and lease execution Support marketing efforts and monitor occupancy levels Ensure accurate and timely reporting (traffic, occupancy, etc.) Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitive properties Resident Relations Maintain positive relationships with residents and address concerns professionally Oversee move-in and move-out processes Ensure consistent enforcement of community policies and Fair Housing compliance Financial & Administrative Monitor rent collection, delinquencies, and deposits Assist with budgeting and track expenses against budget Review reports (rent roll, financials) for accuracy Maintain property records and ensure compliance with company procedures Team Leadership Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate onsite staff Provide guidance and support to leasing and maintenance teams Ensure staff follow company policies and meet performance expectations Qualifications 3years of property management experience (multi-family preferred) Previous supervisory or team leadership experience Strong knowledge of Fair Housing and landlord-tenant laws Experience with property management software (e.g., AppFolio or similar) Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor and customer service mindset Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to respond to property emergencies as needed Ability to pass Fair Housing testing Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test Pay:$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience:Property management:3 years (Required) License/Certification:CDL C (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
