APPAREL DESIGN ASSISTANT

DESIGN ASSISTANT FOR A FAST PACED MISSY & JUNIOR APPAREL MANUFACTURER Responsibilities · Assist with design and development for multiple categories · Assist with presentation materials such as line sheets and look books · Create and maintain digital style library · Create and update CADs and line sheets · Communicate with other departments design needs · Assign style #s, color and fabric information to CADS · Follow WIP reports and keep track of development samples · Prepare basic flat sketch designs · Assist with basic specifications of product · Keep up to date records of art and designs for sales team · Help maintain the day-to-day projects including filing/organizing, tagging, line preparation, copying and updating development, packages, fabric books, shipping/tracking packages Qualifications · College degree in Fashion Design or related field · One 1-2 years of design experience (may include summer jobs, internships, etc.) · Extremely proficient in the Adobe Creative suite · Garment construction & fabric knowledge · Ability to do flat drawings/ sketches of design prototypes in Illustrator · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines · Ability to take direction and work in a team environment · Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 per year Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
