Job Description
Title: Lead Application Analyst III – Healthcare Information Management Location: Camden, NJ Type: Temporary, contract Our direct client is seeking an Application Lead – HIM to support Health Information Management applications during a planned coverage period. This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare IT professional who enjoys stepping into a leadership role, contributing immediately, and making a meaningful impact in a short timeframe. This role will serve as a trusted application expert and mentor, working closely with HIM leaders, clinical partners, and IT team members to ensure continuity, stability, and forward momentum across critical HIM systems. Key Accountabilities: Act as a subject matter expert for HIM applications and workflows Support continuity of operations during the 6‑month back‑fill period Coordinate and prioritize team work to meet service levels and deadlines Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical oversight to application analysts Serve as an escalation point for complex issues involving integrated systems Partner with HIM, clinical, and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and identify effective solutions Perform fit / gap analysis and document current- and future‑state workflows Design, test, validate, and implement system enhancements Lead or support small‑ to medium‑scale initiatives and enhancements Collaborate on integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) Review, triage, and assign incidents and change requests to ensure balanced workloads Participate in a second‑level, 24x7 on‑call rotation Requirements: 6-10+ years of experience supporting healthcare applications or clinical systems is required High school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare, Business, or a related field is preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user‑friendly language Customer‑focused, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment Willingness to obtain application‑specific certification / proficiency within 90 days (if applicable) Experience working in a hospital, health system, or medical practice is preferred Experience supporting Epic HIM modules and experience supporting OnBase workflows is preferred Epic Gallery project experience is a strong plus, including implementation, optimization, or upgrade initiatives
