Aquarist

Job Overview We are looking for a dedicated aquarist to take care of/manage an extensive private collection of saltwater life. Aquarist would be responsible for procuring, feeding, medicating, & managing all livestock. Both fish & coral as well as minor fresh water collection. Duties Manage inventory of medicine, dry goods, food, etc. Diagnose and treat livestock for potential diseases & parasites. Quarantine as needed. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and ensure their well-being during research activities Perform water changes & manage nutrients. Support veterinary procedures by monitoring animal health, administering medications, and maintaining detailed medical records Skills Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and handling techniques Experience with diagonsing diseases & parasites. Familiarity with veterinary practices including medication administration and animal restraint Understanding of environmental law related to wildlife conservation and habitat protection Ability to perform water testing & understanding how to manage nutrient levels Knowledge of pet care and general animal husbandry practices for diverse species Join us in managing one of the largest private collections of saltwater species in the country!
