Note:The pay range shown is hourly base pay -- we also pay climbers an average of $2-$5K in annual bonuses in December.Essential Functions:Climbing for pruning, removals, and hedging according to ANSI standards Fine pruning smaller or ornamental trees & shrubs.Work hand-in-hand with crew leaders to make sure each job is completed successfully Communicating with clients on-site (the office team handles most client communication, as well as invoicing, parking reminders, etc.) Efficiently move small & large debris from the tree work area to chipper, starting with large material first.Help set up job sites, including cones around trucks/sidewalks, positioning vehicles & small equipment, identify safety risks, etc.Determine drag paths & drop zones, move/protect any breakable objects on ground.Work closely with other climbers to ensure rigging, equipment, etc.they need is in place and ready to go.Keep track of equipment coming out of trucks and going back in.Buck & move larger wood safely using larger saws.Follow all of our safety protocols to avoid creating risks for yourself or your crewmates Be a team player that can work respectfully and with a good attitude - be someone that everyone else wants to work with.Work hand-in-hand with the crew leader to make sure each job is completed successfully.Maintains equipment as required, including greasing chipper, checking chainsaw oil/fuel, etc.Able to drive chip trucks/chippers, bucket trucks, equipment vans safely in tight areas.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in horticulture, forestry, or a related field is a plus.2years experience as a Climber in residential or commercial tree care (solely utility line clearance experience excluded) Clean and insurable driving record.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.Ability to drive and operate equipment safely (aerial lifts, stump grinders, chip trucks with trailers, etc.) Good communication skills for interacting with team members and the public.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Basic problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and working in various weather conditions.Comfort with climbing and working at heights.Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods during fieldwork.Blooma Benefits:Bonus eligibility for end of year bonus (paid out in December; $3-5K on average) Additional $250 signing bonus after 3 months of employment 100% company-paid medical & dental insurance premium after 1 month of employment (deductibles & dependents are your responsibility) 401(k) with 4% employer match after 1 month of employment 10 Paid Holidays Sick Pay Annual matching gear stipend depending on tenure & position (climbers start at $300 per year) Quarterly paid training for professional development ISA sponsorship - $3 raise upon becoming ISA-Certified Job Type:Full-time Base Pay:$30.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Application Question(s):Please describe your experience with spurless climbing & tree pruning.Ability to Commute:Seattle, WA 98133 (Required) Ability to Relocate:Seattle, WA 98133:Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location:In person.
