Position: Area Maintenance Supervisor Location: Charlotte, NC About the Role: We are seeking an Area Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations across three apartment communities in Charlotte totaling approximately 400 apartment units. This position is based at The Chimneys Apartments, a 200+ unit apartment community, and combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities. You will serve as the Maintenance Supervisor at The Chimneys Apartments and oversee two nearby communities, ensuring all properties are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support maintenance staff across multiple communities Ensure timely completion of work orders, unit turns, and preventative maintenance. Diagnose and repair common apartment maintenance issues, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks. Provide hands-on assistance to resolve complex maintenance challenges Coordinate outside vendors and oversee purchasing of maintenance supplies Maintain compliance with safety and building codes Work closely with the Property Manager and ownership to support employees and deliver excellent resident service Participate in rotating after hours call Requirements: CFC Certification (EPA) required Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance Previous supervisory experience in maintenance Proven ability to lead and train maintenance teams Excellent communication and organizational skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation About Lerner Residential Lerner Residential, LLC has owned and operated apartment communities in the Charlotte, NC area for over 50 years.
