What You Will Do: GFT is seeking an Area Manager (Transportation focused) to join our Construction Services team in the Southern California area! We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety andquality standards. What you'll be challenged to do: As the Area Construction Manager , you be responsible for providing direction and leadership on multiple projects locally and identifying opportunities to further grow GFT's presence in the region. You will develop and lead strategic and tactical operational initiatives in with the goal of meeting sales and revenue targets, developing client relationships focused on project execution. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Recruiting and hiring a solid construction management group. Developing and mentoring a team, promoting collaborative, collective problem-solving, and a culture that fosters teamwork and effective communication. Participate in and oversee bid reviews for projects regionally, reviewing and negotiating agreements and contracts. Provide leadership and guidance to the project managers and support staff assigned to projects, ensuring all projects progress, on schedule and within budget. Take full responsibility for ensuring the most effective utilization of all resources regionally Review weekly and monthly project
