Job Description
Job Summary: Deliver exceptional healthcare services by utilizing ionizing radiation to produce diagnostic images for licensed practitioners. Essential Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with attention to patient history and clinical indications, ensuring thorough documentation for practitioner review. Prepare and instruct patients to achieve optimal imaging results while minimizing anxiety. Operate radiographic equipment and accessories skillfully to complete procedures. Position patients appropriately to highlight anatomical areas of interest, respecting comfort and ability. Immobilize patients as needed for accurate examinations. Determine and apply correct radiographic exposure techniques. Implement radiation safety principles to protect patients, self, and others. Evaluate image quality and ensure proper identification. Attend to patients' physical and psychological needs during procedures. Practice aseptic techniques when necessary. Perform venipunctures and administer contrast media as prescribed. Assist licensed practitioners with interventional and fluoroscopic procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic tasks and assist with catheter anchoring. Initiate basic life support when required. Educate patients about tests and procedures. Maintain assigned areas, report equipment issues, and manage supplies. Provide practical instruction to students and healthcare professionals. Participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives. Follow all applicable standards and policies. Note: This role may require on-call duties to provide technical support or shift coverage as needed. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology. Computer proficiency.
