Company Description Studio Russo Gallery – Washington, DC Studio Russo Gallery is a contemporary art gallery and creative space in Washington, DC dedicated to exhibiting work with technical excellence, craftsmanship, and emotional depth. Founded by artist and landscape architect Jon-Joseph Russo in collaboration with curator, Syahidah Osman of Artvocate, the gallery supports multidisciplinary exhibitions, artist talks, and community programming that foster meaningful human connection through art. Schedule Thursday: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM Friday: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM Saturday: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM Sunday: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM Responsibilities Welcome and engage gallery visitors professionally Assist with exhibition opening receptions and public events Monitor gallery space during open hours Assist with social media content capture and promotion Provide basic information about exhibitions and artists Support light administrative and operational tasks Qualifications Interest in contemporary art, galleries, museums, or cultural programming Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized, dependable, and proactive Comfortable interacting with the public Experience with social media and photography is a plus Individuals in arts administration, fine arts, art history, communications, or related fields are encouraged to apply What You’ll Gain Hands-on gallery and exhibition experience Exposure to artists, curators, and arts professionals Networking opportunities within the DC arts community Experience in exhibition operations and cultural programming Portfolio-building and resume experience This is an In-Person Volunteer position .
